Repair is a skill. Worth is a practice. I teach both.

Getting to know Lauren

Hi, I’m Lauren Florek.

I’m a writer, coach, speaker, and the founder of New Mindset Foundation, a human development company built around one question I keep coming back to: why do we become who we become?

Before this work, I spent years in marketing, public relations, and healthcare leadership. Over time, I became less interested in titles and outcomes and more interested in the human story underneath them. The beliefs we inherit. The patterns we repeat. The relationships that shape us. The experiences that change us. The things we carry forward without realizing we ever picked them up.

That curiosity now sits at the center of everything I do.

Through my writing, coaching, and speaking, I explore the parts of the human experience that are often messy, funny, painful, beautiful, and deeply revealing.

I’m most interested in the space between what happened to us, what we made it mean, and who we choose to become because of it.

The work

Three places we might begin.

On becoming

Becoming is the lifelong practice of meeting yourself honestly and choosing what comes next, even when it takes courage. This is for you if you’re at the edge of a new chapter and asking bigger questions about who you are, what you want, and what no longer fits. Through coaching and writing, I help people understand the patterns, beliefs, and identities that have shaped them so they can make more conscious choices about who they want to become.

On relationships

Relationships have a way of showing us ourselves. They reveal how we love, protect, avoid, communicate, repair, and sometimes disappear. This is for you if you want to understand the patterns and stories shaping your relationships, set clearer boundaries, and create connection without abandoning yourself in the process.

On leadership

Leadership asks us to become more conscious, not simply more capable. This is for leaders, founders, and high performers who want to understand how their patterns, reactions, and beliefs affect the people around them. I help leaders build the self-awareness, emotional steadiness, and clarity to lead in a way that is both effective and deeply human.

To live fully is to never stop evolving. To love with more truth. To lead with more care. To choose with more courage. To meet your life with both honesty and responsibility. Again and again, this is the invitation.
